During the creation process for This Place We Share, we worked a lot with words using found text, journaling, and verbal sharing of memories as prompts for movement and exploration. Finding the presence of words both helpful and satisfying in our endeavour to share and build a communal movement language we wrote a series of short texts based on personal experiences and created a book that became part score, part directive, part prop, part script.
